Design one safe revolution of the press. The follower must be at least 95%raised throughout the green feed window and below 5% throughout the purple stamp window. Set rise, high dwell, return and phase; then choose a motion law. Longer motion spans lower acceleration but leave less time to hold.
First job: try 90° rise, 90° high dwell, 90° return, 0° phase and the 3–4–5 law. Later jobs need different timing. The remaining angle is a low dwell.

Phase shifts the start of rise. The cycle is rise, high dwell, return, then low dwell. Green and purple windows are fixed to the press line. A window whose end is less than its start wraps through 0°. Curve traces show the actual displacement calculation, not a preset animation.
Simple harmonic has nonzero endpoint acceleration; the polynomial and cycloidal laws have zero endpoint acceleration. We compare sampled peak acceleration, not jerk or contact stress. This educational kinematic model omits spring dynamics, friction and follower separation; it is not a machine-design approval.
